What is Emerging Leaders?
Emerging Leaders is a nine-month discipleship training program designed to equip and inspire young leaders to make disciples as a lifestyle for a lifetime.
Who should apply for the Emerging Leaders program?
Leaders in their 20s who are wholly devoted to Jesus and passionate about making disciples should apply for the Emerging Leaders program.
Completion or near completion of an undergraduate degree, or equivalent experience.
A passion for making disciples.
Proven character and integrity.
Proven leadership qualities.
Agreement with Downline's Statement of Faith.
When does the Emerging Leaders program begin/end?
The Emerging Leaders Program begins in late August and ends in early May.
Can I work as an Emerging Leader?
Yes. The Emerging Leaders program is designed so that you can excel in the workplace. Our desire is that you would be able to receive transformative discipleship training while gaining valuable work experience and pursing your career goals.
Where will I live?
Emerging Leaders have the freedom to choose where they live. Some Emerging Leaders live in an apartment, rent a house, or find a host family. Some live alone, some live with other Emerging Leaders, and some live with friends who are not Emerging Leaders. We are happy to help facilitate housing arrangements if needed.
What does the application process look like?
First, you would complete the online application found here. Then we would schedule an in-person interview (or Skype if necessary).
How much does Emerging Leaders cost?
The tuition for the Emerging Leaders program is $1,500.
Can Emerging Leaders receive seminary credit?
Yes. We offer seminary credit to Dallas Theological Seminary and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. For more information on seminary credit click here.
